ang pow tales

Situation A

This grandmother will distribute her ang pows , the size of content will depend on
how much she is given. As such, she couldn't get her ang pows pre-packed in advance. The result? A mix-up is bound to happen. Even the "big one" she was given was given away in the confusion.

Situation B

This grandmother packed her ang pows in advance for her grandkids. However, not all the grandkids visited at the same time. She wanted to give an extra big one, she kept it in
pocket, waiting for this grandkid to arrive. But when he did , much later, she forgot all about it , thinking she has already distributed all.

Situation C

One daughter reminded one grandmother that she was not given any...the previous year and asks to reclaim hers this year.(?)

Situation D

One christian lady says she no longer gives out ang pows as she doesnt want to breed discontentment among the receivers. In the past, she has noticed that kids would open up their red packets and start comparing and criticize the givers as either "generous" or "stingy".
