Son: Mum, sometimes I misbehave because subconsciously, I want attention from you.

Do I see the making of a psychologist here?

I really believe it, coz I think that's the problem with my son too- poor middle child!

He could be. I think it is well known to children now that statistic shows that kids misbehave due to lack of attention but I doubt it applies to all children.

Children like adults have moods too.

As long as he didn't say it was transference and he had caught the habit from his parents!! That would be not just a budding psychologist but a thoroughly devious one!
