money talks?
I saw this lady with 2 young kids at Mcdonalds. I was there for a take-away. When her transport came, she told the kids to walk out with her. They refused and began to create a din by shouting and staying put; refusing to budge. Their ages could be 5 and 3. Both wanted Mcdonalds ice-cream
The mum walked out of Mcdonalds , but they didn't follow. Guess what did the trick?
The mum came in and threw a dollar each to the kids , saying that they could get an ice cream later at another shop. The two kids took the money and calmly walked out to follow the mum.
What do you think of that?

I will just walk off and not turn back.
I once had a niece who pulled this stunt on me. When she realised I wasn't going to give in, she had to run after me, screaming and shouting for me to wait for her. hahaha..... She does it to her parents but never to me, again.

I think that the mum has spoiled her kids too much, not realising that it doesn't buy her any love or compassion from her kids.
I wonder how she'll be treated in her old age...if she's already being bullied so easily now.

I feel sorry for the kids. Really getting the wrong lesson. I think a quick pop on the butt would have served them better.

:D true true...oh my god!...what will happen to me after I have kids?!!!!
Is there a support group I can join for mums in the same predicament?

mango, the support group will come naturally; you'll probably meet them at the playground or
pre-natal classes or nursery school!
