how much
While looking at the menu, son turned to me and asked "How much do you earn in a day? I am concerned that I am using too much of your money."
Would you reply if you were in my shoes?

LOL, he's your son. You can choose to tell him and ask him to keep it a secret. Can also take the opportunity to give an early lesson in money management and budgetting.

Agree with Jonzz.

Pardon the pun, but I find that a very ignorant view. Children actually learn to keep secrets from a young age.
It is never to early to teach a child about trust, and differentiating between right and wrong.
It's teaching too late that creates problems.

jonzz, children are naive and have an innocent mind so they tend to blurt out unintentionally sometimes...

LOL, what you are saying is equally true of adults, and they are much worse because they also do it intentionally.
