a good samaritan

It was a day with wet showers in the afternoon. On reaching the parking meter, I discovered to my dismay that I had run out of coins to feed the meter. A man who has just finished feeding the meter turned around and gave me the coins I required to get my parking ticket. I really appreciate it.

There are good samaritans out there!

  • i agree.

last nite i took the kids to a Mcdonald's before a movie. i was one short of the offer coupon (buy a large mcvalue meal & get a free burger) & a girl queueing at the next line offered my daughter one, probably because she had a stack of them & it was the last day for the offer.

now, we could do with some good samaritans on the road.

  • The smallest acts of kindness can bring much warmth to the heart.

  • Yalor that's why we should not generalize. When we think people suck, suddenly some nice individual appears and throws our perceptions out of whack.

  • yeah this is the kind of attitude that would make one feel nice the whole day.

  • Agreed ;) perhaps we should practice it more.

I tried giving out free movie tickets which I'd won some months ago from Mix FM. I approached those in the ticket queue at Cineleisure.

Perhaps I looked like a conwoman....hahahaha :D No one wanted my tickets. They preferred paying for the same movie !

So I ended up throwing it away.
