high scores

Daughter has been getting perfect or near-perfect scores in all her tests this month.

Her dad's comments " Her friends will hate her "

My thoughts " Her friends should admire her?"

What do you say?

  • Love-hate relationship? Healthy competition?

  • Yup agree with Bernard, healthy competition. Why should they hate her if they put in the effort they too can achieve the same. An A or a score of 100% is not an exclusive commodity.

  • Everyone wants to score nowadays. If she can do it, make sure she keeps doing it and don't drop standards just because of peer pressure. It can happen!

  • It really depends on how much effort she has invest in human relationship.

  • i agree with both of u..some friends will hate her for scoring..some true friends will admire her..but as long as she knows what she wants and continue to achieve it , she shouldn't be too worried of what her friends think of her.

  • well..whether she scores all As or not, there's bound to be someone who will dislike her.

    I haven't met anyone who's liked by everyone....yet...!

  • "hate" is too strong a feeling to be appropriate in this setting. perhaps, her friends will just be envious of her success.

ah, but if she boasts & looks down on her friends because of her good scores, then maybe they'll hate her. but i know your daughter will never do that.

  • Don't care what others think. As long as it is your own hard work, you should be happy and proud of it.
