single burial plot

The wife died at 45 after succumbing to cancer. The husband wanted to get 2 burial plots,

next to each other. But his mum -in-law stopped him from doing so.

What do you say to that?

misbehave

Son: Mum, sometimes I misbehave because subconsciously, I want attention from you.

Do I see the making of a psychologist here?

family traits

When adults gather to exchange news, they inevitably talk about their kids ...latest accomplishments, etc

So I was mildly amused when told by daughter that my nieces talked about their dads....compared notes on their personality traits; sharing notes on how their dads reacted in certain cirumstances. This exchange took place during the recent CNY gathering.

I knowI am equally "guilty" of those traits as well . For example, the one where we want to complete a given task well ahead of time

Early Valentine's Day

Hi there! This time I'm going to be the one writing this entry.(It's me! You know the son. ) Anyway I've decided to write a poem for Valentine's Day(Well,Early Valentine's Day anyway.)So Happy Early Valentine's Day! And may Cupid's arrow aim for your heart.

It's Valentine's Day,
There's love in the air,
Love's blooming,
In the city air,
Hearts aglow,
Cupid's task,
In the world below,
In an eternal cycle,
Of true love.

Thanks for reading and bye.(p.s., The world below is referring to Earth.)

pink

On the first day of the CNY, I thought son would not mind wearing a pink shirt but he did. He said he would prefer to wear a red one, and not a pink one!

Did you blogger guys ever wear a pink shirt when young? And would you still wear one now?

CNY

Travelling home was hassle free on the road this year. Started off on early wednesday morning at 230am and reached at 530am. Hubby went around searching for breakfast , unsuccessfully. Could only fill our stomachs an hour later.

Delivered a cake to my sister who requested me to make one for her.

This year, I decided to contribute to the 2nd day meal when all the daughters gather at my brother's place. His wife is a great chef, and we always enjoy her yummy feast. She prepared nasi dagang for us. I prepared spagetti . Which would you have chosen to eat?

On the journey home, hubby asked daughter how the ang pow collection was this year. She said there was a reduction. The size of the ang pow reflects on the economy of the giver as well....right?

Back to home chores now, washing machine is washing its 3rd load even as I type this.
If I have missed anyone out, here's wishing " Kong Hee Fatt Choy" to everyone!
